Peter Griffin in Fortnight – Yes that’s Thrillingly True

Update: Peter Griffin is officially in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1. Gamers have found that he even does the Family Guy "hurt knee" joke upon dying.

Epic released a short video to tie in with the character's release, which you can watch below. In addition to Peter, make sure to check out everything in the Fortnite Chapter 5 battle pass, which also features Snake from Metal Gear Solid.

We now know that Peter Griffin will be included in the battle pass for Fortnite Chapter 5 according to a recent leak. The leak validates an old claim about the Family Guy protagonist joining Fortnite. The theory started in 2021 when dataminers discovered pictures of Peter Griffin in the game's database.

It's finally happened—after years of joking about the idea of him having his own skin. This also means that in addition to Peter and the other new crossovers, Fortnite has recently included a ton of Family Guy references.

With the lengthy wait times, players were eager to get into the game and discover every joke, which are now available. Inside jokes abound, whether it's landing in the Petercopter or performing the Surfin' Bird dance. Epic hasn't let up on the ridiculousness, for sure.

Undoubtedly, there are other skin tones as well, so Peter isn't the only one dressed in his usual outfit. Since the news emerged, fans who were able to access Fortnite have already assembled these.

The new Back Bling is possibly the most striking. As the name implies, Peter's one is dubbed Clip Show Carry-All, and it genuinely displays a variety of Family Guy cutaways on its screen. This crossover has obviously been in the works for some time, for whatever reason, as it was leaked back in February 2021. Even if they don't show up right away, it appears like Fortnite leaks are trustworthy.

Naturally, there are a lot more crossovers coming to Fortnite this weekend. As we said yesterday, Lego is currently receiving a lot of attention, and a new game mode is on the horizon. This is undoubtedly an ambitious season because it's also been reported that we'll get game types based on Rock Band and Rocket League. As of right now, the cast of Fortnite has inspired 1,200 Lego variation skins, all of which are compatible with previously released Fortnite dances. For a crossover, that's a lot of animation work to do.

Since the servers were pulled offline yesterday, there has been so much more to add to the game that it has been unavailable for a large portion of the week. Overnight, everything was maintained in preparation for the Chapter 5, Season 1 event update. The game is currently operational again, albeit with wait times similar to those from yesterday.
